The City of Molalla offers grants of up to $10,400 to assist in:

  • New Construction, Repair, or Replacement of Sidewalk, Curb & Gutter, or ADA ramps!


***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***

  • You must have an approved Right of Way permit or Civil Construction Permit before applying for the grant.
  • Grants will be offered each fiscal year until the budget allocation for the sidewalk improvement program is depleted.
  • See Program Summary in Important Documents to determine project eligibility, funding levels, and how to apply.

    Thank you for your question!

    1. All work in the public right of way requires a right of way or civil construction permit to ensure the work complies with City standards and the various state and federal rules surrounding a given public improvement.  For instance, ADA requirements for sidewalks are covered by the City's standard and ensure compliance with the American's with Disabilities Act. 

    2. There is no cost to apply for the grant.  

    3. If your concern is that you don't want to pay for the permit if you aren't approved for the grant, you can consult with the Engineering Section, which administers the ROW and civil construction permits, and they can let you know if you will be approved for the grant since it is on a first come first served basis until the program runs out of funding for that fiscal year.

    Thank you for your question!  This grant program has been designed to provide up to $10,400 to assist property owners in building new or replacing/repairing sidewalks, curb & gutter, and/or ADA ramps.  So this grant could assist a private property owner, or several of them, in development of sidewalks, curb & gutter, and ADA ramps on Fenton Ave up to $10,400 per property.  Thank you!
