Early in 2021 City Staff applied for and received a Mt. Hood Territory/Travel Oregon Grant to:

1. Purchase and install four wayfinding kiosks around Molalla

2. Develop a bi-lingual map product

3. Produce the maps in a weather and vandalism resistant material

4. The City is also working with the Chamber of Commerce to license the map for inclusion of local businesses that would be available on the Chamber's website and would link to a QR code on the Kiosks.

    The art from 4 winning selections will be professionally photographed and displayed on one of the 4 new wayfinding kiosks in Molalla!

    Contest Rules and Entry Forms are available on the New Wayfinding Kiosk page of the Molalla Current (page right on PC, page bottom on Mobile).

    Sponsor Forms are available in the same location as the Entry Forms; sponsors will have their logo displayed on 1, 2, 3, or all 4 Kiosks... all proceeds will be used to help put this contest on in future years.

    The maps are in! Now we will add QR codes to the back side and add a piece of local art. The Beautification and Culture Committee is currently creating an art contest for the community that will select the piece of art that goes on the opposite side of the kiosk.

    The 4th of 4 kiosks was installed at City Hall! Now all we are waiting for is materials to print and protect the maps.

    After substantial cooperation and team work with local Graphic Design Artist, Kristy Stephens at Triangle Design, the map design you see with this news post is complete!


    The map will be approximately 5' x 6' and will take up one entire side of the Kiosks!
