Where Should We Roll Next? Help Choose the Future Home of the Molalla Skate Park

The Timateo De La Cruz Memorial Skate Park Foundation is partnering with the City of Molalla to build a new community skate park.

The Foundation intends to ask the City Council to donate one City-owned property for the future skate park. We are seeking a site that can accommodate a skate park of approximately 12,000 to 15,000 square feet.

This recommended size is based on planning guidance from Skatepark.org and industry recommendations for communities with Molalla's population. A park of this size would provide enough room for skaters of all ages and abilities while allowing for future growth.

Although several of the properties being considered are much larger than 12,000 to 15,000 square feet, only a portion of the selected property would be used for the skate park. The remaining land could continue serving other community needs.

After reviewing the available options, the Foundation is not recommending the property east of the Aquatic Center. While it is a desirable location, it is not City-owned and purchasing it is estimated to cost between $500,000 and $1 million. We believe those dollars would be better invested in building the skate park rather than purchasing land.

Your feedback will help the Foundation understand community priorities before making a formal recommendation to the City Council.
