The City is in the process of updating its standards for non-residential buildings. Its current standards are governed by Molalla Municipal Code Section 17-3.2.040. These standards have proven very difficult to meet and have consistently been a challenge for City applicants as they are very prescriptive, expensive to implement, and inappropriate for many development types. The City's adopted Economic Opportunities Analysis included a development code recommendation memo that advised updating industrial design standards in particular. That is Staff's current objective.
