About The Molalla Current

Welcome to the Molalla Current, a new community engagement platform designed with you in mind! We NEED you to be involved in community decision making by providing ideas, feedback, questions, and comments; this is where you can do that! The Molalla Current also provides a text message push notification system that will allow the City to alert you in the case of an emergency or other issue of immediate concern.

The Molalla Current is an alternative to traditional public engagement. Historically public engagement or community involvement has involved attending a public meeting or providing a written submission to a public body. This can be time consuming and inconvenient; it can also be a little intimidating. However, The Molalla Current gives you the opportunity to have your say on issues that are important to you, at a time and place of your choosing!

So, what will take place when you’re at The Molalla Current? Quite simply, we hope, a conversation.

We will listen to your feedback, provide timely project updates and report back to the community about how your feedback has contributed to the decisions being made.

When people sign up at The Molalla Current, they can provide comments and suggestions, as well as receive updates about projects and areas of personal interest. Each project added to The Molalla Current will have an informational section meant to provide background on the project. Additionally, there will be one or more engagement tools on each project page. These will be the spaces where you can provide your thoughts or perspectives.
